My beautiful little beluga dude done on my left ribcage by Hanna from Idle Hand Tattoos SF, California. She was at the tattoo fest in Austin, TX where I reside and I saw her work and knew I had to have my next piece done by her!
This beluga whale is super important to me, as you can see in the picture on the bottom- I actually had the chance to swim with them for my birthday!
Belugas have always been very special to me. When I was younger I would fill the sink up with water and play with my beluga whale figures and sing “Can you feel the love tonight?” from the Lion King. Yes, I was charming child. Belugas remind me of my childhood when everything was innocent and my family was happy. Things have been rough the past 12 years, so this little dude is a reminder to keep smiling even when things are rough.
Belugas are the most incredible creatures I’ve ever had the opportunity to interact with, they are so gentle and playful. They may be huge 1500 lb creatures that could kill you in a heartbeat, but they would rather swim up to you and give you a kiss on the cheek. XO Hanna, you’re amazing!
